Lucky Dube Biography: Lucky Philip Dube popularly known by his stage name Lucky Dube was born on 3 August 1964 in Ermelo, Transvaal (now Mpumalanga), South Africa.

Lucky Dube was a South African reggae musician and Rastafarian. He is also South Africa's biggest-selling reggae artist. The legendary reggae icon recorded several albums in different languages.

Some of Lucky Dube's popular albums includes: Rastas Never Dies (1984) EP, Remember Me (1994), Think About the Children (1985), Slave (1987), Together As One (1988) and some other notable albums.

Throughout his musical career, Lucky Dube was one of South Africa's top performing reggae artists before his death on October 18, 2007 in Rosettenville, Johannesburg.
